Role Overview:
As an AWS Cloud Intern, you will work closely with our DevOps and backend teams to support cloud infrastructure, automate deployments, monitor systems, and help build scalable and secure cloud-based applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in deploying, managing, and operating scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems on AWS.
- Support the setup and maintenance of cloud environments using services like EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, and VPC.
- Participate in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, and CodeDeploy.
- Monitor system health, performance, and cost optimization using CloudWatch and other monitoring tools.
- Work with developers to troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure issues.
- Document cloud configurations, procedures, and best practices.
Required Skills:
- Basic understanding of cloud computing and AWS services.
- Familiarity with Linux command-line tools and scripting (e.g., Bash, Python).
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals, security best practices, and IAM policies.
- Experience with Git and version control systems.
- Eagerness to learn new technologies and cloud tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Enrolled in or recently graduated from a Computer Science or related program.
- AWS Cloud Practitioner or similar certification (or willingness to pursue it).
- Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
- Familiarity with Docker and container-based environments.
